Randy’s pov
“Now we just
need the black ninja,” Piper said, ticking off the white ninja on her list. I
thought; I only knew one black ninja; Shadow or Beck Turner.
“What’s the
exact shade of black?” I asked
“Shadow or
Midnight,” Piper replied “Do you know them?”
“Yeah, I do
but you missed her by two months,” I said casually.
“Wait,
you’re saying that the last ninja which is needed to save the earth is
missing?” Yandi asked
“No, Beck
Turner moved back to New Zealand two months ago,” I replied “She’s the female
ninja called Shadow,”
“And she’s
not coming back anytime soon, that’s for sure;” Brandon sighed “We’ll never win
now,”
“It’s
December right? In New Zealand they have a wacky way for school, December is
their summer holidays, two weeks in December and the whole month of January,”
Olivia said
“By the way,
New Zealand is not wack, it’s the US,” A voice said “I don’t get why you start
in September or why you use grades,”
“Who knows
about this tree house Randy?” Peter asked
“Howard but
he’s out of the country, Jake Long, Danny Fenton and Beck,” I replied “Jake and
Danny are busy in their own home towns,”
“So the only
one who would know about this is Beck,” Peter said.
“And I have
to agree with Beck on this one, it’s smart to have school start in February and
end it in December,” I told them “But I guess we’re on the other side of the
world,”
“Unless I’m
actually on America Soil, then I’m here ready to fight,” The voice said.
“And it’s
summer holidays,” I said “Come on in Beck,”
“I prefer to
stay in the shadows, you know that Randy,” Beck replied
“Don’t go
all Shadow on me now Beck,” I glared.
“But what if
I am Shadow?” Beck replied, laughing as she walked through the door.
“Dual
personalities can be really annoying at times,” Olivia said.
“Actually it
can be helpful, take it from me, I spent a whole year as Shadow and that didn’t
turn out so good,” Beck replied “Let’s just say, this isn’t how I remembered
Norrisville,”
“Good times
they were,” I muttered. The others looked at us.
“At least
there’s no more DNG, otherwise they’d be on your case 24/7,” Beck said, eyeing
the others “Who are these lot?”
“Randy, I
don’t believe you when you say this is the black ninja,” Piper said.
“Beck, I
would like you to meet the other seven ninjas of Norrisville,” I said “Let’s
Just say
together, we’re almost unstoppable,”
“Almost?
Don’t tell me, there’s great concaquises, why did I ever get tangled up with
you?” Beck groaned.
“She’s
good,” Brandon muttered.
“My names Wayne
Black, White Ninja, Apprentice number 1,” Wayne said, pulling out a black and
white mask.
“Peter
Brown, and don’t laugh but I’m the pink ninja, apprentice number 3,” Peter
sighed, pulling out a pink and black mask. Beck Shrugged.
“Piper
Chile, Purple, number 4,” Piper said, showing her mask.
“I’m Brandon
King, My favourite colour is blue and I’m apprentice number 5,” Brandon said,
smiling. Beck blushed.
“Georgia
May, I’m the green ninja and apprentice number 6!”Georgia yelled, excitedly.
“Yandi,
Yellow, number 7,” Yandi muttered.
“Well at
least I know someone from another country that moved to Norrisville,” Beck said
“Olivia
Goodwin, Light Orange Ninja, Number 8,” Olivia monotone “And I don’t approve on
tattoos,” She said, looking at Beck’s left arm.
“And you
know who I am, Red Ninja – Number Nine,” I said, shrugging “Your turn,”
“Beck Turner
and/or Shadow. It depends on my mood at the time and what I’m wearing, I guess
I’m the black ninja and number two,” Beck said. She brought out her mask to
prove it.
“Wayne,
ironic surname and the fact that Bruce Wayne is Batman, Peter – I know a lot of
boys who like the colour pink, I don’t like your tone Piper, Brandon you’re
welcome to be my king, Georgia you remind me of Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony,
Olivia – there are things in life that I wish that didn’t happen and things
that didn’t happen to you lot but happened to some friends and I. Randy it’s
good to see you again,” Beck said “I’m not explain my tattoo, plus if you ask
the person who did won’t even remember me or Shadow, Like I said a whole year
as Shadow,”
“And some
other weird things,” I mutter. Piper looked at us. She frowned.
“Is there
something going on between you two?” She asked.
“For ninjas,
you’re pretty bad if you haven’t notice that Randy likes someone else,” Beck said
“If you hadn’t noticed Piper, now I get it, sorry I get off track at times, I’m
crushing on someone else,”
“So, but
there’s something you and Randy aren’t telling us isn’t there?” Piper
replied. I looked at Beck.
“So what if
there is? It’s not like you would believe us anyway and plus it never really
happened and the only people who can back us up are super busy with their own
lives,” I replied, smiling.
“I’ve got to
get going, I have homework to do,” Olivia said, picking up her bag. The others
muttered their excuses and left the tree house.
“So where
are you staying?” I asked Beck. She looked shocked.
“Didn’t your
mother tell you? I’m staying with you,” She replied, smiling “Plus we need to
talk about you know what,” Her smile faded. My smile faded. What she was
talking about was serious – we hadn’t talked about this since the day it
happened. What she was talking about was something that never really happened.
“What are we
going to do, Piper knows we’re hiding something,” Beck whispered “She’ll make
the connections, I can tell, she’ll go through the school yearbooks to check,
then she’ll research Shadow, then she’ll research Danny Fenton and Jake Long,”
I did not like where this is going.
“We
defiantly can’t tell anyone, we made a promise to you know who,” I said.
“And then
Piper will manipulate Olivia to help her research their connections to Danny
Phantom and The American Dragon, then, when she has gathered enough
information, she’ll tell everyone and force me to explain my tattoo which, like
I told Olivia, I do NOT want to do,” Beck continued.
“And you got
that from only two exchanges?” I asked. She nodded
“Of course I
did – once you learn something you never really forget it,” I laughed.
“Come on,
let’s get inside – Mum’s getting pizza,” I said, jumping out of the tree house
This a totally different scene that will come later.
“Okay Piper
if you really want to know, I’ll tell you,” Beck yelled “Each line represents
someone, the top one is Danny Phantom, the second one is The American Dragon
and the third – the ninja of Norrisville, I got it when I was 18,”
“But you’re
only 16, it’s unrealistic,” Olivia said.
“Beck was
once 18, just on a different time line,” I butted in “Danny, Jake, Beck and I
were all on a different time line, two actually. The original time line. In
this time line we had to change otherwise the universe would go kaput,
Clockwork – someone who I rather not mention – changed out ages, I stayed the
same, Beck became two years older than me, Jake four and Danny six,”
“I still
became Shadow because of my request of when I found out that my dad went
missing, I then went to New York where we met once again – Randy on winter
break, I wondering the streets, Jake studying to become an engeearie and Danny
as a suritecy man for a couple groups. There we found out about DNG. DNG was a
group of people who want to hunt down and destroy all Dragons, The ninja of
Norrisville and Ghosts. My mother, who I had thought to have died when I was
five months old, and my father, who went missing the year before, was a part of
it,” Beck kept going
“Because the
Ninja of Norrisville was only one person, we knew they would come after me
first, Beck came back to Norrisville to protect me and keep an eye on me by
becoming the new school janitor. We defeated them DNG, well actually Clockwork
combined the new with the original with some changes. Beck’s mum really did die
when she was five months old and we would remember what had happened. We
promised each other that we would never tell anyone this because it’s really
confusing and it’s personal,” I concluded.
“You were keeping
that from us the whole time!” Yandi yelled “We’re supposed to be a team. We’re
supposed to tell everything!” Everyone starred at him.
“Okay, that
was weird,” Brandon whispered “So is that the only reason?”
“Of course
it is!” Beck yelled “Dude, I thought you would believe me when I said you don’t
want to know! I thought it was clear that Randy and I didn’t want to talk about
it. Heck we haven’t even written to each other about it, it was so bad that
that we just couldn’t! I watch my mum die in front of me because she and my dad
tricked me!”
“No there’s
more, I know there is,” Piper said “Beck and Randy like each other, I’ve
checked your room, there’s a stack of hand written letters from Beck,”
“Piper, I’m
not allowed any technology that could hurt my little sister, no computer and no
telephone. I had to write by hand!” Beck yelled “And, Sorry Randy, Randy likes
Theresa!”
“I’m going to
kill you Beck,” I mutter. She rolls her eyes.
“Look,
Piper, I don’t get why you can’t be happy not knowing something about me and
Randy that we promised never to tell anyone about!” She finally said “But if
you want to be that way, I quit, I go back to New Zealand in less than a week, and
I’ll be out of your hair and you out of mine. I’m going solo, I’ve never been a
group person, never have never will be,” And with that Beck jumped out the
window, pulling her mask over her head and headed towards the city
